The Gray Wolf (Canis lupus) is one of the large terrestrial mammals that has the largest distribution across the continents, after humans and cattle. Once upon a time, these mammals inhabited the entire northern hemisphere, and their observation was quite common. However, from a very early age, humans and the gray wolf have had an antagonistic relationship. Despite almost never attacking humans, the gray wolf is considered a frightening and evil predator. They usually attack domestic animals, cattle in particular, and thus have gained the animosity of humans. Because of this, many wolves were killed. In several parts of the world, such as in almost all states in the United States, or in central Europe, gray wolves have become extinct. Members of the species can still be found in Alaska, Canada and Asia.
